Cudeman Delta (344-A): The everyday knife that balances elegance and Albacete tradition

The Cudeman Delta was created for users who are not just looking for a cutting tool, but a piece that conveys character and distinction with every use. This everyday carry (EDC) knife combines a modern, fluid silhouette with the nobility of traditional Albacete materials, offering an immediate and secure response to any task, whether in an urban environment or during recreational outings in nature.

Why this Cudeman is right for you

  • Perfect balance: Weighing only 95 grams and with a total length of 19.5 cm, it offers maximum portability without sacrificing a blade with real presence.
  • Central mechanical safety: Its central locking system (mid-lock) guarantees a firm anchor of the blade, providing a solid block sensation during work.
  • Versatile cutting geometry: The drop-point tip and its 2.5 cm blade width allow total control over the cut, ideal for tasks requiring precision.
  • Artisanal exclusivity: By using natural bull horn, each pattern on the handle is unique, ensuring that your piece is one-of-a-kind.

Steel and edge performance

This model is made with molybdenum vanadium steel, an alloy that stands out for its excellent toughness and resistance to environmental corrosion. With a hardness of 54/56 HRc, this steel is especially appreciated by users who value ease of maintenance; it allows for a very fine edge to be obtained quickly and easily, ensuring that the knife is always operational for daily use without the need for complex sharpening equipment.

Construction and resistance

Manufactured entirely in our facilities in Albacete, the Cudeman Delta model features a structure adjusted to the millimeter by a brass liner anchor. Its blade is adjusted by an Allen screw and a threaded brass internal bushing. The satin finish of the blade not only gives it a professional aesthetic but also helps protect the surface from everyday wear and tear. Its 2.5 mm thick blade provides the necessary robustness for moderate force cuts, although its design is optimized for cutting efficiency and not for prying with this tool.

Handle and control in real conditions

The polished bull horn handle is the element that defines the personality of this piece. This natural material offers a warm feel and ergonomics that adapt smoothly to the palm of the hand. As it is a polished material, the knife slides easily into the pocket but offers a secure grip once unfolded. Its 11 cm handle length allows for full hand support, ensuring that control over the tip is always absolute.

Sheath and portability

To adapt to your needs, we offer this model in two configurations:

  • 344-A: Knife without sheath.
  • 344-AF: Knife with black sheath with red stitching to give it the distinctive touch that bull horn deserves (sheath 636-NR).

Use scenarios

  • Everyday Utility (EDC): Perfect for solving daily tasks with a tool that stands out for its elegance and cutting ability.
  • Recreational Use: An ideal companion for excursions or meals in the countryside, where clean cutting and a reliable structure are required.
  • Collecting: Its combination of classic steel and natural polished bull horn makes it an indispensable piece for lovers of Spanish cutlery.

Care and maintenance

  • As it is polished bull horn, it is essential to store the piece in a dry place and never get it wet to preserve the integrity of the natural material.
  • Clean the blade after each use with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints and moisture residues, keeping the satin finish impeccable.
  • Periodically apply a drop of light oil to the pivot and central locking mechanism to ensure consistently smooth and precise deployment.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat sources to prevent any alteration in the tone or structure of the natural horn.

The Cudeman Delta (344-A) is the market's demand made real. The market was crying out for an everyday tool like our Catalanas (443/444/445) but with a secure lock. This model is a true Top Seller in our catalog. There's a reason for that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Popular questions from our customers

  • All Cudeman products are designed and manufactured entirely in Albacete, Spain. The brand has over 38 years of experience, combining traditional Albacete cutlery craftsmanship with the latest technologies (such as laser cutting and CNC machining). When you buy a Cudeman, you are acquiring a product with a designation of origin that guarantees quality and know-how.

  • 1. Premium Steels: Böhler N695 / N690Co

These are the benchmark steels in our high-end range. Böhler is synonymous with purity and Austrian technology.

    • Properties: High hardness (58/61 HRC), excellent corrosion resistance, and superior edge retention thanks to their high chromium and cobalt content (in the case of N690Co).
    • Ideal use: Extreme survival and bushcraft knives (like the famous MT series or the Green Beret), designed to withstand intensive use without losing their edge.

    2. The Gold Standard: Molybdenum Vanadium (MoVa)

The quintessential steel of Spanish cutlery, valued for its great structural balance.

    • Properties: Reaches a hardness of 54/56 HRC. Its greatest virtue is its toughness (impact resistance) and ease of re-sharpening in the field, even with basic stones.
    • Ideal use: Hunting, finishing, and general-purpose knives. It's the all-terrain steel that never fails in hunting activities.

    3. Swedish Precision: Sandvik 12C27 / 14C28N

Very fine-grained stainless steels produced in Sweden, ideal for those seeking a "laser" edge.

    • Properties: 14C28N, in particular, offers a masterful balance between hardness (57/59 HRC) and corrosion resistance. It allows for very sharp edges that are resistant to micro-fractures.
    • Ideal use: High-end folding knives (EDC), adventure cutlery, and pieces that require a clean and precise cut.

    4. Tactical Resistance: 420 Stainless Steel

A very elastic steel resistant to external agents, used in specific high-impact pieces.

    • Properties: Lower hardness than the previous ones (50/53 HRC), which makes it extremely resistant to breakage under torsion or impact. It is virtually immune to oxidation.
    • Ideal use: Throwing knives, diving tools, and low-maintenance tactical cutlery.
  • A high-quality knife is a tool for life, but its longevity depends on maintenance, especially when combining technical steels with natural materials in the handles.

    1. Cleaning and Drying (Crucial for natural materials)

    • Hand washing: Clean the blade and handle with warm water and neutral soap. Never use a dishwasher, as extreme heat and chemical detergents are lethal to steel and wood.
    • Attention to porosity: If your Cudeman has wood, antler, or bone scales, avoid submerging them or leaving them to soak. These materials are porous; moisture can cause them to swell, crack, or separate from the knife's chassis.
    • Immediate drying: Dry the entire piece with a soft cloth immediately after washing. Make sure no moisture remains in the rivet area or joints.

    2. Lubrication and Protection

    • The Blade: If you are going to store the knife, apply a thin layer of mineral oil (or camellia oil) to the steel. This creates a hydrophobic barrier against environmental moisture, which is vital even for stainless steels.
    • The Handle: For natural wood handles, it is advisable to occasionally apply a little linseed oil or beeswax. This nourishes the material, seals the pores, and prevents it from drying out or accidentally absorbing water.

    3. Storage and Leather Sheaths

    • Leather is organic: Leather sheaths are hygroscopic (they absorb moisture). Do not store the knife inside its sheath for prolonged periods of inactivity, as the leather's tanning and retained moisture can cause oxidation pitting on the steel.
    • Sheath maintenance: Hydrate the leather regularly with horse grease or specific creams. A flexible and nourished sheath better protects your tool and prevents the leather from cracking over time.

Golden rule: A Cudeman knife is not ruined by use, but by neglect. Clean, dry, and store separately if you are not going to use it soon.

  • Cudeman offers a lifetime warranty against any manufacturing or material defects.

Important note: The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear from use, nor damage caused by misuse of the tool (such as extreme batoning with models not designed for it, throwing the knife, or using it as a lever).
Items made with natural materials (woods, antlers) or special resins (Juma) may show inherent differences in grain and color compared to the photographs. These aesthetic variations do not constitute a manufacturing defect and are therefore not covered by the warranty or eligible for return.
