Cudeman La Marinera in Deer: A Historic Icon with the Most Advanced Steel
An heir to the classic designs that have populated ship decks for decades, Cudeman's La Marinera is a piece that has won over thousands of users for its honesty and robustness. This version elevates the original concept by combining a historic silhouette with luxury materials, offering users a tool that is not only functional in demanding environments but also represents the highest distinction of Albacete cutlery.
Why this knife is right for you
- Security in every movement: Its parrot's beak tip prevents accidental punctures if the piece falls to the ground or is used on unstable surfaces, an indispensable feature in nautical tradition.
- Cutting excellence: Equipped with our brand's most premium steel, it guarantees professional performance in any cutting task.
- Superior aesthetic finish: The internal rivet in the spring conceals mechanical elements, offering visual cleanliness and elegance that distinguishes it from standard versions.
- Unique identity: By using high-quality natural material, each handle features irreplicable tones and textures, making each knife a unique piece.
Steel and edge performance
For this edition of La Marinera, we have selected Böhler n690co steel, the most premium material we work with. With a hardness of 60/61 HRc and the addition of cobalt in its composition, this steel offers exceptional edge retention and very high oxidation resistance. You can expect an aggressive and durable cut, designed to resist fatigue even with fibrous materials or humid environments.
Construction and resistance
Manufactured entirely in our facilities, this knife uses a back-lock system that provides absolute structural solidity. The handle's anchoring with steel liner reinforces the chassis, ensuring that no play develops with continuous use. It is a tool designed to last generations, although it should be remembered that its tip and pivot are optimized for cutting and not for prying.
Handle and control in real conditions
The polished deer antler handle with a red spacer provides warmth and an organic grip that synthetic materials cannot match. The polishing of the deer antler allows the hand to slide smoothly while maintaining the necessary firmness during work, while the red spacer adds a technical contrast and reinforces the structure. Its ergonomic 9.5 cm design adapts perfectly to the hand, allowing for prolonged use without uncomfortable pressure points.
Sheath and portability
This model includes a brown leather sheath (Ref. 605-C), handcrafted in our own leather goods division. The sheath has been molded to ensure the knife is protected and securely retained, facilitating its transport on a belt. In addition, it features a lanyard hole, allowing the piece to be secured to the wrist or equipment to prevent loss in critical situations.
Use scenarios
- Nautical activity and fishing: Perfect for handling ropes and nets with complete user safety thanks to its blunt tip.
- Daily use with distinction: A compact and lightweight knife that solves any daily need with a touch of classic elegance.
- Collecting: A piece that represents the pinnacle of Albacete manufacturing, uniting tradition and state-of-the-art steel.
Care and maintenance
- To preserve the integrity of the polished deer antler, it is recommended to store the piece in a dry place and avoid direct contact with prolonged moisture.
- After use, clean the blade with a microfiber cloth to remove residue and maintain the shine of the satin finish.
- Apply a drop of mineral oil to the pivot and spring mechanism periodically to ensure smooth opening and a crisp lock.
- Avoid wetting the handle; if the piece gets dirty, clean it with a slightly dry cloth and keep it away from extreme heat sources.
Cudeman's La Marinera in deer antler is the perfect balance between naval history and modern engineering; a reliable tool built to last.
