Cudeman Entresierras: The most tactical version of the do-it-all tank
The Cudeman Entresierras was born from a real need: to create a tool capable of withstanding the most brutal tests without losing the ability to perform precision tasks. Designed hand-in-hand with the Comando Entresierras, this model has become an undisputed bestseller thanks to its structural robustness and intelligent ergonomics, ideal for those who accept nothing less than perfection in their field equipment.
This version, which stands out for its desert and functional aesthetic, maintains the "4x4 tank" essence that made it famous in 2015. It is a knife with an imposing presence, designed to be the centerpiece of your survival kit and to respond with complete safety when conditions get tough.
Why this Cudeman is right for you
- Surgical control: Its large choil on the blade allows the index finger to be advanced for fine cutting tasks, transforming a large knife into a detail tool.
- Superior grip: The handle design is generous, allowing for comfortable and secure use even with large hands or while wearing tactical protective gloves.
- Absolute reliability: Its full-tang construction eliminates any weak points, offering a solidity that inspires confidence from the moment it is held.
- Functional pommel: The extension of the steel at the back serves as a pommel striker, adding extra functionality for emergency situations or when impact is needed.
Steel and edge performance
The blade is made of molybdenum vanadium steel, a material that stands out for its great balance between toughness and ease of maintenance. With a hardness of 54/56 HRc, it offers remarkable edge retention and exceptional oxidation resistance in humid environments. Its hollow grind and clip-point tip are designed for effective penetration and cutting, allowing for easy resharpening in the wild so you're never out of service.
Construction and resistance
With an impressive thickness of 4.8 mm, the Entresierras is built to last. Its full-tang structure is secured by stainless steel Allen screws and internal brass bushings, guaranteeing an eternal union between the blade and the scales. Although its resistance is outstanding for chopping and processing wood, its tip design is optimized for cutting and penetration, so it is recommended to avoid using it as a lever to maintain its original geometry.
Handle and control in real conditions
The satin sand micarta scales not only offer a visually attractive finish with their black spacers, but also provide excellent mechanical grip. This material is extremely stable and hard against temperature changes and does not lose grip in the rain or with dirty hands. The double jimping on the spine of the handle ensures that the thumb does not slip, reinforcing the force you can transmit with each pass.
Sheath and portability
As is standard in our house, the sheath has been designed and manufactured entirely in our own workshops in Albacete, ensuring a handmade fit and maximum protection of outstanding quality. Depending on your needs, you can choose between two configurations in high-quality brown leather:
- 155-X: Includes the multi-position brown leather sheath, designed for versatile carrying both vertically and horizontally using its reinforced loops.
- 155-XC: The complete kit version that adds a leather attachment with a sharpening stone and signal mirror, a fire starter ferro rod, and 2.8 meters of high-strength 550 paracord.
Use cases
- Bushcraft and survival: Shelter preparation, stake carving, and firewood processing using batoning techniques with complete safety.
- Big game hunting: A robust tool for butchering and field work where strength and precision are equally required.
- Tactical environments: Its high-visibility sand design and pommel striker make it ideal for operational personnel looking for a reliable rescue and defense tool.
Care and maintenance
- Clean the blade with water and neutral soap after use in saline environments or with organic residues.
- Dry the piece completely before inserting it into the leather sheath to prevent moisture condensation.
- Store the knife in a dry place; since it is made of micarta, the handle is very resistant, but the leather of the sheath appreciates low humidity environments.
- Occasionally apply a drop of mineral oil to the edge if the knife will be inactive for long periods.
- Periodically check the tightening of the Allen screws to ensure that the ergonomics of the handle remain intact.
The Cudeman Entresierras (155-X/155-XC) in its sand version is the perfect combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern versatile design. A reliable tool, impervious to time and built to overcome any challenge you set for it.
