Cudeman Entresierras: The Ultimate Tactical and Survival Knife

Since its launch in 2015, the Cudeman Entresierras has established itself as a true benchmark in the sporting cutlery sector. Designed in close collaboration with the Comando Entresierras, hence its name, this model was born with a clear premise: to withstand the most demanding field tests without showing the slightest weakness. It is a tool of absolute trust, designed for those who need their equipment to respond in situations where there is no margin for error.

Its presence is imposing and its performance, legendary. If you are looking for a companion that combines the robustness of a tank with the versatility of a scalpel, the Entresierras is probably the knife that will mark a before and after in your adventure gear.

Why this Cudeman is right for you

  • Total control in precision tasks: Thanks to its generous choil integrated into the blade, you can advance your grip to make fine cuts and detailed work with astonishing safety.
  • Universal ergonomics: Its handle is oversized to fit comfortably in any hand size, ensuring a firm grip even when wearing thick tactical gloves.
  • Bulletproof structure: As a full tang knife, the blade runs through the entire handle, eliminating breaking points and offering superior structural solidity.
  • Versatility of carrying: The multi-position black leather sheath allows you to carry it in the way that best suits your activity, keeping the tool always accessible and secure.

Steel and edge performance

The blade of the Entresierras is made of molybdenum vanadium steel, a balanced choice that stands out for its excellent corrosion resistance and toughness against impacts. Interestingly, there was talk of manufacturing it in a harder steel, such as a Böhler N695, but the Commando needed a tool that was easy to resharpen in the field. With a hardness of 54/56 HRc, this steel allows for relatively easy sharpening, ensuring you can always keep your tool operational. The blade's hollow grind and satin finish not only provide a professional aesthetic but also facilitate penetration and glide with each cut.

Construction and resistance

We are talking about a 4.8 mm thick piece, which makes it a true "4x4" capable of facing heavy tasks of wood processing or shelter preparation. Its full tang structure is complemented by stainless steel Allen screws and brass bushings, ensuring that the assembly remains together against vibrations and mechanical stresses. However, remember that, although it is extremely robust, it should not be used for prying to preserve the integrity of its clip-point tip.

Handle and control in real conditions

The grip is one of the strengths of this model. The satin black micarta scales with elegant red spacers offer a non-slip texture, even with wet, dirty, or sweaty hands. In addition, it incorporates a double jimping on the spine of the handle that improves thumb support, increasing traction and preventing accidental slips during intensive use.

Sheath and portability

As is a hallmark of the brand, the sheath has been designed and manufactured entirely in our own workshops. You have two multi-position options to adapt the carry to your adventure:

  • 155-M: High-quality black leather sheath, multi-position (vertical and horizontal) equipped with loops and rivets for the most comfortable carry.
  • 155-MC: The complete leather setup that includes the survival kit (black leather attachment, sharpening stone with signal mirror, fire starter, and 2.8 meters of red 550 paracord).

Usage scenarios

  • Extreme survival: Ideal for building shelters, processing firewood, and performing base camp tasks where reliability is the number one priority.
  • Big game hunting: Its point and choil make it an effective tool for fine cutting and processing game with great precision.
  • Tactical and military use: Its pommel and compatibility with gloves make it perfect for operational environments where an impact and cutting tool is required.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean the blade with a damp cloth after each use to remove sap residue or organic dirt.
  • Thoroughly dry the piece before storing it, paying special attention to the area under the micarta scales.
  • Store the knife in a dry place away from constant humidity to protect the steel and the leather of the sheath.
  • Apply a light coat of mineral oil to the blade periodically if you are going to store it for a long time.
  • Keep the edge sharp with a fine-grit stone to avoid having to perform aggressive sharpenings that wear down the material.

The Cudeman Entresierras (155-M/155-MC) is not just a knife; it is an extension of your body designed to last generations. A reliable, powerful tool manufactured entirely in Albacete for the most demanding adventurers who want it all in one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Popular questions from our customers

  • All Cudeman products are designed and manufactured entirely in Albacete, Spain. The brand has over 38 years of experience, combining traditional Albacete cutlery craftsmanship with the latest technologies (such as laser cutting and CNC machining). When you buy a Cudeman, you are acquiring a product with a designation of origin that guarantees quality and know-how.

  • 1. Premium Steels: Böhler N695 / N690Co

These are the benchmark steels in our high-end range. Böhler is synonymous with purity and Austrian technology.

    • Properties: High hardness (58/61 HRC), excellent corrosion resistance, and superior edge retention thanks to their high chromium and cobalt content (in the case of N690Co).
    • Ideal use: Extreme survival and bushcraft knives (like the famous MT series or the Green Beret), designed to withstand intensive use without losing their edge.

    2. The Gold Standard: Molybdenum Vanadium (MoVa)

The quintessential steel of Spanish cutlery, valued for its great structural balance.

    • Properties: Reaches a hardness of 54/56 HRC. Its greatest virtue is its toughness (impact resistance) and ease of re-sharpening in the field, even with basic stones.
    • Ideal use: Hunting, finishing, and general-purpose knives. It's the all-terrain steel that never fails in hunting activities.

    3. Swedish Precision: Sandvik 12C27 / 14C28N

Very fine-grained stainless steels produced in Sweden, ideal for those seeking a "laser" edge.

    • Properties: 14C28N, in particular, offers a masterful balance between hardness (57/59 HRC) and corrosion resistance. It allows for very sharp edges that are resistant to micro-fractures.
    • Ideal use: High-end folding knives (EDC), adventure cutlery, and pieces that require a clean and precise cut.

    4. Tactical Resistance: 420 Stainless Steel

A very elastic steel resistant to external agents, used in specific high-impact pieces.

    • Properties: Lower hardness than the previous ones (50/53 HRC), which makes it extremely resistant to breakage under torsion or impact. It is virtually immune to oxidation.
    • Ideal use: Throwing knives, diving tools, and low-maintenance tactical cutlery.
  • A high-quality knife is a tool for life, but its longevity depends on maintenance, especially when combining technical steels with natural materials in the handles.

    1. Cleaning and Drying (Crucial for natural materials)

    • Hand washing: Clean the blade and handle with warm water and neutral soap. Never use a dishwasher, as extreme heat and chemical detergents are lethal to steel and wood.
    • Attention to porosity: If your Cudeman has wood, antler, or bone scales, avoid submerging them or leaving them to soak. These materials are porous; moisture can cause them to swell, crack, or separate from the knife's chassis.
    • Immediate drying: Dry the entire piece with a soft cloth immediately after washing. Make sure no moisture remains in the rivet area or joints.

    2. Lubrication and Protection

    • The Blade: If you are going to store the knife, apply a thin layer of mineral oil (or camellia oil) to the steel. This creates a hydrophobic barrier against environmental moisture, which is vital even for stainless steels.
    • The Handle: For natural wood handles, it is advisable to occasionally apply a little linseed oil or beeswax. This nourishes the material, seals the pores, and prevents it from drying out or accidentally absorbing water.

    3. Storage and Leather Sheaths

    • Leather is organic: Leather sheaths are hygroscopic (they absorb moisture). Do not store the knife inside its sheath for prolonged periods of inactivity, as the leather's tanning and retained moisture can cause oxidation pitting on the steel.
    • Sheath maintenance: Hydrate the leather regularly with horse grease or specific creams. A flexible and nourished sheath better protects your tool and prevents the leather from cracking over time.

Golden rule: A Cudeman knife is not ruined by use, but by neglect. Clean, dry, and store separately if you are not going to use it soon.

  • Cudeman offers a lifetime warranty against any manufacturing or material defects.

Important note: The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear from use, nor damage caused by misuse of the tool (such as extreme batoning with models not designed for it, throwing the knife, or using it as a lever).
Items made with natural materials (woods, antlers) or special resins (Juma) may show inherent differences in grain and color compared to the photographs. These aesthetic variations do not constitute a manufacturing defect and are therefore not covered by the warranty or eligible for return.
