Cudeman Ness Wolf: Mediterranean tradition in a cutting-edge French design
The Cudeman Ness Wolf is the result of an exceptional collaboration with French designer Charles de Opus Knives ®, which began in 2021. This version enhances the Spanish soul of the piece by incorporating natural olive wood handles with red fiber spacers, a wood that symbolizes our Mediterranean heritage and perfectly matches the fluid and elegant lines of the French design. It is a knife that combines sophistication and power, manufactured entirely in our factory in Albacete for the adventurer who seeks a tool with a unique personality.
With its full tang structure and balanced weight, the Ness Wolf stands out as an extremely fine and agile piece. Its aesthetic, halfway between tradition and modernity, makes it a versatile knife that performs equally well in demanding field tasks and recreational use, always offering top-level technical performance.
Why this Cudeman is right for you
- Author's Nesmuk geometry: The curved shape of its tip greatly facilitates skinning and food processing, allowing for long, precise cuts with minimal effort.
- Warmth of olive wood: The satin-finished natural olive wood handle with red spacers is not only visually spectacular due to its unique grain, but also offers an organic and comfortable grip that improves over time.
- Integral construction: As a 4 mm thick full tang knife, it guarantees absolute solidity, eliminating any weak points between the blade and the handle.
- Aesthetic detail: The red spacers under the olive wood provide a vibrant contrast that highlights the sporty and exclusive character of this collaboration with Opus Knives ®.
Steel and edge performance
The Ness Wolf blade is forged from premium Böhler N-695 steel, reaching a hardness of 59/60 HRc. This high-end steel is renowned for its excellent edge retention and high corrosion resistance, making it ideal for contact with moisture or organic fluids. The blade design ensures an aggressive cut and fluid penetration, maintaining its professional operability during long days of intense use.
Construction and resistance
The robustness of this model is based on its 4 mm steel structure that runs through the entire piece. The anchoring system, using stainless steel Allen screws and threaded brass internal bushings, ensures that the natural olive wood with red spacers remains immovably attached to the steel. It is a lightweight knife (130 grams) but surprisingly strong, designed to withstand the lateral pressures typical of bushcraft and hunting.
Handle and control in real conditions
The olive wood handle offers ergonomics designed to adapt to different grip types. Olive wood is dense and resistant, providing extra security in handling. In addition, it incorporates a lanyard hole, allowing the user to secure the tool to the wrist or add a personalized lanyard for quick drawing.
Sheath and portability
As is customary in our company, the sheath has been entirely designed and manufactured in our own workshops in Albacete, ensuring a handcrafted fit and maximum protection of outstanding quality. Depending on your needs, you can choose between two configurations in high-quality brown leather:
- 208-L: Includes the simple multi-position brown leather sheath, designed for versatile carrying both vertically and horizontally using its reinforced loops with snaps.
- 208-LC: The complete kit version that adds a leather attachment with a sharpening stone and signal mirror, a fire starter flint, and 2.8 meters of high-strength paracord to the set.
Use scenarios
- Hunting and skinning: The Nesmuk tip is one of the best geometries for efficiently processing large and small game.
- Bushcraft and carving: Its premium steel and lightness make it an excellent ally for preparing stakes, carving utensils, or practicing bushcraft.
- Recreational use: An elegant and effective knife to take on your hiking trips and enjoy a superior cutting tool during your lunch.
Care and maintenance
- As it is natural olive wood, it is essential to store the piece in a dry place and never get the wood wet to avoid expansion.
- Clean the blade with a soft cloth after each use to keep the satin finish of the Böhler steel free of organic residues.
- Thoroughly dry the tool before storing it in the sheath to prevent moisture from affecting the metal in the long term.
- To maintain the beauty of the olive wood, you can occasionally apply a minimal layer of mineral oil with a dry cloth.
- Maintain the edge using fine-grit stones to take advantage of the extraordinary cutting ability of its technical geometry.
